Ultraviolet Water Purifiers and Water Sanitizers utilize germicidal ultraviolet lamps that produce
short wave radiation lethal to bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms
present in water such as coliform, E coli, Giardia, Staphylococcus, algae,

Each MEGATRON'S UV Disinfection Variable Flow Rate is
based on 3 types of water - Clear Wastewater, Clear Fresh Water and High

MEGATRON Ultraviolet Water Purifiers
& UV Water Sanitizers offer high volume, rapid water treatment
and water disinfection without the use of
heat or dangerous chemicals - often for the lowest cost available by any means.
The MEGATRON Automatic
Wiper series of UV Water Sanitizers consists of pressure vessel chambers
containing multiple germicidal ultraviolet lamps, making each model a
completely self-contained water disinfection system. Multiple chambers
can be combined to handle larger flows. The most featured of all of our
water purifiers, the MEGATRON Automatic
Wiper series offers unattended mechanical cleaning of the quartz sleeve
for maximum UV disinfection. This line is particularly suited to
large-scale disinfection of industrial and municipal water and
wastewater applications.
The MEGATRON
system is designed for community water treatment, waste
water purification, public pools, water parks, large farms and many other heavy duty
high volume water purification and water disinfection uses. An
ever-growing range of industries and commercial applications have found
ultraviolet light treatment to be the ideal solution for their water treatment

| MODULAR DESIGN
- Each MEGATRON is a completely self-contained disinfection
system. The electrical enclosure and disinfection chamber form an
independent unit simplifying installation; simply secure, plumb and supply
suitable single-phase power. Multiple units can be interconnected to
comply with nearly any flow requirement. |
| All internal electronic
modules can be removed and replaced, simplifying troubleshooting, and
reducing any possible down time. |
| ELECTRONIC BALLASTS
- State-of-the-art electronic ballasts developed specifically for the
operation of ultraviolet lamps. These ballasts are smaller, lighter, and
more efficient;
operate cooler, provide higher ultraviolet lamp output with a reliable,
long life. |
| MANUAL WIPER SYSTEM
- Permits mechanical cleaning of the quartz sleeves without service
interruption, or disassembly of the system. |
| AUTOMATIC WIPER
SYSTEM (OPTIONAL) Once programmed, permits
unattended mechanical cleaning of the quartz sleeves. |
| SIGHT PORT
Translucent plug mounts to the disinfection chamber and provides positive
indication of germicidal lamp operation. |
| QUARTZ SLEEVES
Fused, high quality quartz, protects and insulates the ultraviolet lamps

| REMOTE OUTPUTS
- 12v DC: Provides power for a low-voltage audio alarm, 50mA max. |
| 4-20mA:
Provides an output corresponding to the ULTRAVIOLET INTENSITY. Output must
be displayed by a PLC, computer, or 4-20mA meter, which can interpret the
signal. |
| Dry Contacts:
Provides SPDT output corresponding to UV NORMAL or UV LOW status of the
monitor. Contacts are rated at 50v 100mA max. |

Principle of Operation for the Megatron UV Water Purifiers |

The water enters the stainless steel disinfection chamber and flows into the
space between the quartz sleeves and chamber wall where suspended microscopic
organisms are exposed to intense shortwave germicidal ultraviolet radiation. |

Translucent sight port and front panel indicator lights provide positive
indication of germicidal lamp operation. |
| (3)
Manual or automatic wiper system facilitates routine cleaning
of quartz sleeves without disassembly or shutdown of disinfection systems. |

Water leaving the disinfection systems is immediately ready for
use. |

| Megatron Monitoring Options |
 Guardian
Ultraviolet Monitor:
Visually indicates the level of germicidal
ultraviolet energy that penetrates the quartz sleeve and water within the
disinfection chamber. The ultraviolet monitor will detect reduction of
ultraviolet levels due to:
Fouling or deposits on the quartz sleeves.
Poor ultraviolet transmission through the water.
Lamp outage, component or power failure.
Depreciation of the lamp output due to usage or other cause (lamp output
gradually depreciates with use).Lamp replacement is recommended once each
year.
The ultraviolet monitor is available in either an analog or digital
version.
The digital version monitor supplies outputs for remote monitoring of the
disinfection system's operation, these outputs are: 12v DC., 4-20mA
output, Dry contacts.
