Eaglesorb Iron Removal Media. They are designed to provide an easy and effective
method of reducing iron in the water. Most groundwater contains some iron which
naturally leaches from rocks and soil. These cartridges help to greatly improve
taste and eliminate the orange and brown stains often found in sinks, tubs,
toilets and their plumbing fixtures when there is an excess amount of iron in
the water supply. Reduces the possibility of damage to pipes and water
heaters and reduces up to 3 ppm dissolved iron. It adds no harmful chemicals to the water, making it completely safe for drinking water applications - reduces iron below 0.3 ppm.

GAC Information - Activated carbon has been known as a miracle filter media by many researchers because of its unique ability to remove offensive
tastes, odor, color, chlorine and volatile organic chemicals, pesticides and trihalomethanes (a group of suspected carcinogens).
Briefly, activated carbon acts like a sponge, with a large surface area to absorb contaminants in the water. Many scientists believe this is a result of affinity that
these chemicals have for carbon because of Van Der Waal forces.
Activated carbon is the preferred treatment and method recommended by the EPA to
